The University Campus of La Spezia is located in the complex G. Marconi, placed on an area of about 14.000 sqm, called “Colle dei Cappuccini“. It was once a military signal base belonging to the Italian Navy, and later licensed for use from the State Property to the town of La Spezia for higher education purposes.
The facilities are composed of three buildings,
those house classrooms, computer laboratories, a library, study hall, management and executive offices, didactic administration.
In further outbuildings, it is available another large classroom with a study room/researchers room annexed (at the Scholastic Complex “2 Giugno” in La Spezia), and a laboratory equipped for the didactic experimentation (at the Maritime Military Arsenal of La Spezia).
UNIVERSITY CAMPUS SPACES
Two further small laboratories are available for graduating students and researchers for developing projects and simulations on fluid-dynamics, hydro-dynamics, mechanical and mechatronic automation.
In the School Complex “2 Giugno”, there are large rooms available for students, teachers, researchers and assistants. They are organized and equipped in such a way that it can be used both for carrying out traditional lectures, and for research, study, project work.
By the Maritime Military Arsenal of La Spezia (building 42 – ex Carpenters and Caulkers), students and teachers can use a large space equipped for design and constructive experimentation of components and/or prototypes, in both nautical and mechanical fields.
